Olivia started swing dancing as a small child with her dad. They would dance along with the characters in old movies and attend social dances. In school, she participated in any production involving music—choir, concert/jazz/marching band, color guard, jazz/lyrical ballet class, and more. After a long pause in partner dancing, she moved to Carlisle and was very excited to find a local swing dance club. She started attending lessons and events regularly in 2023, and the Green Door became a home away from home for her.
In addition to dancing Lindy Hop and West Coast Swing, she also enjoys Fusion, Blues, Salsa, Bachata, Zouk, and a few other Latin styles. Outside the Green Door, you'll find her dancing at other venues or spontaneously creating a dance floor with friends. She's also passionate about adventuring outdoors—hiking, climbing, boating, snowboarding, and anything that connects her with nature, rain or shine! She's been a whitewater raft guide on the Lehigh River since 2011, and has kayaked, rafted, and canoed rivers and creeks around the country.
Most of all, Olivia loves to teach and volunteer with her community. She is proud to be a part of the Central PA Swing Dance Club and to give back to an organization that has brought her so much joy.
